"Altered Perceptions" (2024–Present) is a photographic series that examines the visual experience and the anchoring of meaning. The works in this collection are entirely analog, carefully altered in the darkroom rather than through digital manipulation.
To create the series’ distinctive visual effects, I use rubylith, orthochromatic, and amberlith masking films alongside creative darkroom processes. These techniques reshape the compositions, producing gelatin-silver photographs that challenge conventional expectations and invite viewers to reconsider their relationship to photographic imagery.
