I have always been a big fan of the county fair. The playful sounds and unique sights cannot be found elsewhere: children screaming as they spin about in a teacup, the smell of popcorn and cotton candy, and the call of barkers as they tempt passersby on the midway to test their skills. And, of course, there are the magnificent and terrifying rides full of surreal motion and action. The photographs in this series, “The County Fair,” document these rides, the environment surrounding the rides, and the passing fairgoers. 2010-2023, (Reduced Resolution Negative Scans)
