NYC Commuters (2011-2015 with subset of images from late 1980's) engage in a daily physical and mental transition from one reality to another. This photographic series combines incongruent glimpses of people in light, shadow, and movement to define an iconic journey. These images address the impersonal tension that often accompanies commuting, as well as the awkward visual patterns and compositions of human traffic.
